When Somto Nnoruga walks into a room, something shifts. It’s not just his height, sharp jawline, or the confidence that seems to come naturally. It’s the calm energy he carries the kind that makes you pay attention. And now, with the newly earned title of Mister Nigeria 2025, the world is paying attention, too.
Somto isn’t just another good-looking winner of a national pageant. He’s a young man on a mission with a clear sense of identity and purpose. A professional model, athlete, and interior designer, he’s also a passionate advocate for affordable housing.
“I’m a passionate, purpose-driven young man,” he says. “I believe in creating impact, inspiring others, and using every platform I’m given to push for positive change.”

That mindset is what sets him apart and it’s what earned him the crown at this year’s Misters of Nigeria competition, a platform that has grown into one of Nigeria’s most respected male pageants. It’s a space where young men are not only celebrated for their looks and poise, but also for their intellect, ambition, and vision for impact. With each passing year, Misters of Nigeria continues to expand its reach and credibility pushing winners like Somto onto bigger global stages.
But getting here wasn’t instant.
“It took faith, focus, and hard work,” Somto shares. “Every step of my journey whether as a model, creative, or advocate has prepared me for this moment. I embraced the process, stayed consistent, and trusted God’s timing.”
That consistency paid off. But it wasn’t just about winning. For Somto, the goal was always bigger than the crown.

“I joined the competition because I saw Misters of Nigeria as a platform that could help push me forward both as a model and in my other aspirations,” he says. “Did I think I’d win? I believed in my potential, but I stayed humble and focused on giving my best.”
Now that he’s wearing the title, Somto sees it as a responsibility not just a spotlight.
“Being Mister Nigeria means leadership and representation. It’s not just a crown; it’s a call to serve and inspire young Nigerians both here and abroad.”

So, how does he manage the weight of expectation that comes with it?
“I stay grounded,” he explains. “I remind myself daily of why I started and who I represent. Pressure is inevitable, but I turn it into fuel. I stay disciplined, I pray, and I surround myself with people who keep me focused. I don’t chase perfection I pursue purpose.”
That purpose is clear in the way he speaks about Build Together, his personal project focused on affordable housing for low-income communities. It’s one of the key areas he plans to highlight during his reign.
“I want to focus on sustainable impact, not just visibility,” Somto says. “Through Build Together, I hope to collaborate with organizations to create real solutions for people living without safe shelter.”
He also hopes to use digital platforms to reshape how Nigerian men are seen globally.
“I want to elevate the image of Nigerian men smart, stylish, and socially aware,” he adds. “We have so much to offer, and I want the world to see that through us.”
And let’s talk about style. Somto doesn’t just wear clothes he wears intention.

“Fashion is expression without words,” he says. “It’s how I tell the world who I am without having to say a thing. My style is clean, bold, and intentional. I always want to make a statement, but still feel confident and comfortable.”
It’s this blend of charm, clarity, and character that’s winning him admiration beyond Nigeria’s borders. As he prepares to represent the country at Manhunt International in Thailand this June, he’s focused not only on performance, but on carrying his culture with pride.
“The competition doesn’t involve cultural wear, but I’ll still represent Africa in everything I do from how I speak to how I present myself,” he says. “I want the world to feel the pride and richness of Nigerian culture through me.”
When asked who inspires him, Somto doesn’t hesitate.
“Cristiano Ronaldo. Not just as an athlete, but as someone who’s disciplined, principled, and mentally strong. He has a mindset that’s unshakable and a lifestyle built on focus and hard work. That’s the kind of person I want to be.”
Somto’s goals for the year ahead are crystal clear: to represent Nigeria with excellence, to grow his modeling career, and to take his advocacy for housing to the national level. But beyond the plans, what’s most striking is his humility. There’s no sense of entitlement in his voice only quiet confidence and a strong sense of direction.

In a time where image often overshadows intent, Somto Nnoruga is proof that you can have both. Yes, he has the look. Yes, he has the charm. But more importantly, he has a message and a plan to back it up.
As Mister Nigeria 2025, he’s not just wearing a crown. He’s carrying a message one of identity, vision, and the power of purpose.
And if the world didn’t know his name before, it’s only a matter of time.
